Hi everyone,

I’m Simon, I live in Swansea and have been vegan (for the animals) for about 6 years now. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.

I’m single and in all honesty I’m struggling to maintain any relationship where the woman is not vegan. Even when they have been very good and sympathetic towards it and been “vegan” while directly with me. I’d never be able to accept someone eating meat if I was physically with them, I just think it’s disgusting. So I have tried to date non-vegans, but I feel like I’m done. Having to explain for the 1000th time why I don’t eat eggs is wrecking me. Having to congratulate someone for tasting my vegan food is also getting tiring, I much prefer sharing experiences of finding new vegan places with someone else who really can appreciate it.

When I’ve found (extremely rare!) a lovely vegan / vegetarian to date, I typically just get put in the friendzone and while it’s great to add vegan friends, it’s not great for me really.🙈 It’s proving to be extremely difficult, disheartening and frustrating to find anyone who is the type of person who I could form a relationship with, is vegan, and local enough to me for it to work. ❤️

Anyway enough of all that 🤭🤣

Looking to add friends on here, I think the idea of this site is great, and if it helps me find a lovely vegan female to date, then even better! ha ha ☺️🤭
Hi Simon welcome 👋
Being vegan and finding a vegan partner can be very difficult.
I personally could not date any one who eats meat.
I think when more users join and we recommend VP that we could find more people in our area that are vegan 💚🌱

Hi Tabitha and thank you ☺️

You are right, it’s very difficult indeed. I have been trying for a number of years.

A couple of my vegan, female friends, have told me they think maybe I am too strict about it, as they are happy to date non-vegans and have managed fine. I don’t manage fine though 🙈

I would love to find someone who has the same ethical outlook as me, someone I don’t have to “tone down” my animal rights opinions so not to make them feel uncomfortable, someone to appreciate and enjoy being vegan with - finding all the wonderful places and sharing those experiences with.

The vegan dating apps I’ve found are literally like ghost towns. Sadly.

Hopefully this community will grow and friendships and relationships can be formed ☺️❤️

Hi Simon,
What is for you, won’t pass you.
You might find a currently non vegan woman who learns about the exploitation of animals from you.
Me and my husband went vegetarian together at first and then vegan. It took him a few weeks to catch up but he saw the reality of it and did not want to contribute to exploitation anymore.
I think finding a vegan partner would probably be easier by attending vegan fairs, events, gigs, maybe Campout etc
