My husband and I are working on something we’ve dreamed about for ages—opening a vegan BnB and café! We’re passionate about creating a space that’s welcoming, kid friendly and 100% plant-based, where people can enjoy great food and a cosy stay.
Right now, we’re in the planning stages and stuck on one big decision: finding the perfect location. We want to choose somewhere that feels right for the community and has the potential to thrive, but it’s definitely not easy! We're currently based near Newcastle but are thinking we may have to relocate to a more vegan friendly area with other local vegan shops, cafes etc for our guests to visit whist they stay.
If you’re in the hospitality or café world, I’d love to connect. Any advice on finding a location, marketing a new business, or just navigating the start-up process would mean so much.

I live in Glossop in the High Peak (on the edge of the Peak District), we have a vegan cafe and a vegan pub. Our wholefoods shop caters very well for vegans too. There's a lot of vegans in this area so most of the cafes cater to some extent. Buxton could also be a good place as it's very popular with tourists. Castleton is a little town in the Peak that is also very popular even in winter as there's loads of walks and great pubs. I'm sure there are loads of great areas across the country. Wish I could help you more. Norwich is also a great vegan hub from what I remember when I lived over there. I'm also in the process of starting another new vegan business, this time making raw dressings and toppings. If you get the cafe going, maybe we could talk further regarding either using them or supplying them .... just a thought. More ...
