A strange experience I had at a local diner the other day. Found they had "vegan options" (a whooping 3 dishes!) and this was one of them.
It was okay. Filling. At least they didn't charge me the full "avocado toast" price, but the fact most of this dish was rice and a bit extra on the oily side, was disappointing.
That's not even the weird bit!
I got there, asked for their vegan menu (since I had seen a photo of it online, so I knew it existed at one time or another) and ordered. Next day, I tried to find the photo of the vegan menu again and so I could post to Happy Cow...
Can't find the photo now! No mention of vegan options on their website or anywhere else their menu is posted. I feel like I was the last vegan they allowed in! 🤣
You wanna have a bougie greasy spoon dining experience with overpriced ingredients? I got just the place for ya....
Okay now that I had my little rant...! I was able to find someone online who did take a photo of their vegan options - 6 dishes, not 3, but honestly, if they are mostly this? Not impressed. 😡👎
