Also, you don’t need to go back through the main discussion list each time. You can simply click the discussion title to stay in the same thread or click the category title (All Things Vegan) to go back to that section.

On my phone, I can just tap the left side of the screen to go back, so maybe it's a phone function. But I see how a dedicated 'Back to Discussion' button could be helpful, and I’ll also look into the positioning of the reply button.
