Bonjour à tous ! I'm a newly minted vegan as of this year, 2025. Previously I dabbled for years as a vegetarian/vegan, but my addiction to cheese was the worst. I don't have any vegan friends, and spouse is an Omni (though vegan-supportive, so I'm hopeful - but they have a milk addiction!) When I'm not volunteering for live theatre, I'm filling my days with other creative pursuits: writing, knitting socks, and learning French. Though currently Stateside, I'll soon be temporarily in the UK for a few months. I'm excited to see what London has to offer (I've heard some good things about a few restaurants there). I don't enjoy cooking (love to eat, though!) but I'm determined to recreate Filipino dishes to vegan ones. I'm half Filipina and grew up with that food culture. Any fellow knitters out there? Looking for good textured yarn that isn't Merino wool. That's the next hurdle in my vegan life!...
