I've only been working in animal rescue for around 3 years and I've witnessed some of the most nasty backwards attitudes from people that apparently don't like it when animals are saved... I don't understand why people hate animal rescues so much......
I too know the experience of going from a single and possibly chaotic form of activism to building something big. When I first started on the road of animal rights, I started with ordering free stickers from PETA and distributing them anyway I could, from giving them to friends, classmates, and teachers to placing them on store shelves and metal posts in public. I never got in trouble for my activism, but I really wanted to do more. So that's when I built Demons Saving Animals, and after that PETA released a new program with their PETA2 branch called the rewards program, where people can complete missions for the animals and get points for merchandise in return. I started sending emails, making phone calls, posting leaflets on bulletin boards, I even did my first ever protest against glue traps.
