Have you read The Impactful Vegan? Robert argues that apathy is the main obstacle in that most people just want quick, convenient and taste identical alternatives. I tend to agree and that's not even considering animal testing, use of skins and other forms of exploitation. Too many high profile 'vegans' return to their non vegan ways when it inconveniences them, Peter Dinklage being one of the latest. They were never even vegan anyway simply plant based eaters.
