I don't like traditions very much because they are usually tied to a lot of problematic causes that are an excuse to celebrate in ways that do not benefit us. But I would also want to be an example of how to celebrate them and you know would like to feel something good about the communities I visit.
Celebrations are important for the sense of belonging and unity so I would like to encourage people to leave a comment here, perhaps not a happy one because I bet a lot of vegans have to meet up with carnists and terrible views during this holiday. All emotions and relatable experiences can make us feel less alone.
I would also like to encourage, for anyone who is able to, to just feel joy if you are celebrating alone and do not even have anyone to invite. The activists especially have to take a breath sometimes because nobody can be there for the animals if you are stressed all the time.
